Black PVC Chemical Suction Hose 10M Roll

We have ordered recently 10 x 10M - 25mm + 10 x 10M - 50mm PVC hoses. The purchase process was great until the hoses were delivered to Mainfreight Depot in Sydney. After inspection, I found out that the 25mm hoses were supplied in 20M length in lieu of 10M as we ordered. The tricky part which will put us in big trouble with the customer if I did not carry out inspection prior to sending this overseas, then it would have been a massive and expensive problem with our customer. The scope of supply hidden to us was on the Packing Slip the order details are correct but not in the actual supply. I have to convince the customer to accept the 20M in lieu of 10M. I can’t recall there was an apology at all for the mistake. All was said was they will replace with the correct length which means it will take another 1 week or so before we get them back. If we have time prior to sending overseas I could have sent this back. I can accept human error however the audacity of hiding the incorrect length supplied is not acceptable and not a good business practice. Lesson learned that I don’t want to experience with this supplier again. So for those who are prospective customer or buyer, better carry out a quality inspection if you are getting the correct item.
